Underfloor heating is much more efficient than traditional radiators as it covers a larger surface area but does not need to be heated as high as a radiator would. In turn, less energy is used and the room is heated more evenly eliminating cold spots. A common misconception is that floors should be hot, however this is not the case and there should be a gentle warmth.
